    Hi Guys

So ive battled bryopsis since i started my tank 7 months ago. Nothing i did killed it. After countless hours of research the only consensus seemed to be the use of Kents Tech M. But trying to find this product in Jhb is pretty hard. So apparently brightwells Magnesion is produced by the same doctor, so i thought id give it a go. Ive been dosing 50ppm each day But!! Have been dosing directly onto the Bryopsis with a syringe. I can tell u! This algae doesnt like it. It is literally peeling off and am having excellent results so far. I have attatched a photo from day 2 and day 3.[IMG][IMG]

Raised Mg levels are meant to slow it down but that is pretty good going.

I use the Red Sea titration method for mag measurement and I am just never sure when to take a reading. So my Mg could be anything from 1200 to 1400 I am not sure. What methods you guys use ?

In all the reading and research I did I heard that if you push your mg up to +1800 for a week you will see the bryopsis die off using the Kent/Brightwells products. Yes the same chemist from Kent moved over and is using the same ingredient.

I've also heard that I think @PerkyPets say they had results with Aquavitro range (?)

Keep the pics coming, I love reading threads where people over come something they have been strugling to solve for months and months.

Well done and all the best I do hope you win the war.

This is an interesting idea. I have bryopsis in my tank and have bumped the Mg up to 1600 for a few weeks now using the Kent product. So far the bryopsis have wilted and are mostly gone. There are a few hardy patches though. I will give this a try and see if it works for me as well.

Vic i also use the red sea. I dont really like it though. Normally ill let the lfs test it for me @jack try it with the kent and see. But ive heard that the brightwells is more concentrated, If that counts for anything i dont know.

Also have a tuxedo, they are very resilient, mine loves nori as well. They do have a tendency to go after Coraline when food gets scares.
