I came across a very interesting article about frozen Mysis and how it goes off and loses it's nutritional value. I had no idea that dark Mysis wasn't optimal for feeding. It's a long read but well worth it.

im afraid if this is true the majority of mysis in SA are bad as i have hardly ever seen pure white mysis as in the pictures in stores locally

I was thinking the same thing, I haven't bought mysis for a while, but from what I can remember I don't think I've ever seen white mysis? Most seem to have a darkish shade of greyish brown.

Ocean nutritions mysis used to be fairly white/pink

Since we can't get that anymore and the cheaper brand is absolutely terrible, I've changed to white shrimp.

Why can't we get ON mysis anymore? I have noticed that pretty much all shops don't have.

I spoke to a few shops and they say they don't stock it because the other brand is much cheaper.
Actually the whole ON range seems to be shrinking
