Brown jelly?

    Hi , cant see well enough in the pic ...

    When i have that prob though on a branched euphillia , ide score and snap off the infected head , in a seperate container and rince well befor returning it the the tank.

    I dont know much about the brown jelly , so i will folow this thread.

    Hi Dan

    I'm afraid it is, I have found that snapping off the infected heads can cause damage to the other heads, as when it breaks it shakes quite a bit which can tear the tissue, rather use a dremel. Another thing to do which I prefer is to use a piece of airline and siphon the jelly off the head, you will have to do this several time to rid it totally, discarding the water with the jelly.

    Did the siphon thing - hope the rest of it stays alright!

    If you do remove the coral always syphon the jelly off first, this prevents it being blown about by your circulation pumps. The jelly can be an absolute plague in a fully stocked reef tank killing anything it lands on.
