Has anyone had brittle spses and been able to rectify it or dose something to get stronger corals. I heard that strontium gives corals strength?

    More flow for thicker branches
Str is used like calcium, same atomic structure but 13% larger, calcium, magnesium and strontium help with skeletal formation, you looking for a value of 8ppm, I don't test but I add every week or so

I will start dosing for 1ppm per week. It surely cant hurt. Did you experience any changes after starting to dose or is it just a good habit to have

Well, in 6mnths my corals doubled in size, was brightly coloured and healthy as a racehorse.... And best of all, we gt our sps from same supplier and @ same time period and I haven't lost a single sps,no rtn,stn or bleaching..... Most still lives on thriving in @Clowning tank

WOW, @Clowning, you know how much I liked that birdsnest !

I've never dosed stronti ever and this was the result from a piece of encrusting acro laying in the sump for a long time.
So I guess its different strokes for different folks ....
@STC-1000 knows about this when it was taken out of the sump.

Just keeping Alk, Mg and Ca stable and under our XPG CREE LED lighting and weekly water change of 25L using seachem salt, 350L tank.
