Well, I finally took the plunge and purchased my self a shiny new Red Sea Max 250. Just loving it. Moved everything over from my old tank with the exception of the devil blue damsel. Everything is settling in nicely and I an super chuffed with my purchase. Pictures will follow soon.

Hi @brentnorm, How is your RSM 250 going? I am thinking of getting one myself and was wondering what your review of it is 9 months later? Would you still get the same tank? What changes / mods did you do to it?

Hi @Louise, yes I would definately buy the tank again. I have no regrets at all. Actually thinking of getting one of their new bigger tanks. I will upload some new pics shortly. The only things I have added to my tank is 1 x Vortech MP10 for more flow because I am starting to keep some SPS. also added a Tunze ATO, really great addition and finally I put in a triple dosing pump unit and the Intank media basket. I am now planning on purchasing a chiller.

Great, nice to hear these tanks are good!

Does the ATO fit inside the hood or have you had to add anything above the hood? (the dosing pump in the cabinet?). Did you make to media basket or does RS make one for the tank?

Thanks for the info, really appreciated

ATO fits perfectly inside the tank and the doser fits inside the cabinet. The main reason I bought this tank was for the clean look.

Awesome - thats exactly why I like it too! Once I have made my purchase would it be possible to come and look at yours in a few weeks time to check out your mods?
