    Welcome to masa!

Maybe you can give us an idea of the type of system you have running and what you're hoping to breed?

    masahello
Firstly breeding marines is not as easy as breeding freshwater (bathwater)!!!!! lol

I've kept & bred many freshwater fish & crusties for many years which was fairly easy but a bit nervous to attempt breeding marines but want to give it a try someday that's why I've been doing so much research before even attempting to breed any marine life.

Will keep an eye on this thread as I too would like to captive breed some marines.

Have bred Freshwater for 16 years now, and now giving marines ago. im a professional aquarist so I know how to run a marine set up etc as its what i work with. Currently have one set up with 4, 170L tanks with a 200L sump and another set up with 9, 70L tanks with another 200L sump. both have protein skimmers with biological filtration and will more than likely have some mechanical filtration added shortly. Currently have Banggai Cardinals, a pair of Pink Skunk Clowns and Ocellaris clowns. All relatively new but looking promising.

Pajama Cardinals also breed easily, I bought a small school of 7, about 2 months ago.
The males are already carrying eggs in their mouths.

Possibly a good starter fish for breeding, apparently the larvae are bigger than some species and take to feeding with ease.

Pajamas are very easy to get going with Banggais being slightly but not alot more difficult. Thinking about some blennies, gobies or jawfish species

It's not illegal you just need to get permits to breed marines especially local species but can breed non local without permits just as long as you don't run a fish farm.

it is illegal to sell any local marine species, and due to this there is as far as i know still alot of debate on whether you would be able to sell the offspring of a species you have caught locally. i would suggest investing your time on species that are foreign, popular but far less common in the trade
