Hey guys my brain coral was doing well until a few days ago.. Or at least I think.. It's not getting fleshy anymore and certain lines on it seem to be getting white. Looking a bit too stoney.

Can someone maybe tell me if this is normal? I'm not sure if it's getting too much flow, or too much or less light. Sorry for the cell phone pics [IMG]

These pics will help see where exactly its positioned.

You can also see where the pumps are. There's 2 Sun suns and a resun 15000.

If I may ask, has anything changed in the last couple days?

Hi erratic. No nothing has changed. I did a water change on Sunday night that was all. All parameters are in check. Checked this evening as well. You can see from the other pics that the doughnut coral which I even moved is doing fine, and so are the rest. So that's why I'm wondering what could cause this

That brain is very retracted. The same happened to mine when I introduced a false lemon peel angel. Only realised later he was nipping at my fleshy lps. I took them to the lfs to allow me time to catch the angel and they bulked up to normal size within a day.

Might be my banner fish. It gets a little fleshy and then retracts. But the past couple days seems to be this way. I didn't notice it pecking at any corals though

This was the case with one I bought a few months ago. I started giving him a piece of hake when I wake up and his feeding polyps are out, it worked very well. I have just bought another that is also in a bad way and am doing the same thing. It take him about 5mins to eat and I have to chase the shrimp away with the forceps while he is busy or else they bother at him.
