Apart from bracing an aquarium is there another way of strengthening it? I also fear that my glass thickness calculations were inadequate. I calculated 12mm on a 200x80(w)x70(h) which gives me a safety factor of only 2.4. Am I in trouble?

    Hi
    Hope you well

You safe with 12mm for that size.

I have build that size in 10mm with double Base and bottom bracing.

Yup 12mm is sufficient provide it's euro braced with at least as 100mm width brace on top. I went with a 15mm brace 150mm wide on my 1m wide tank (1.8 x 1m x 700)

I dident want top Crossway braces because it would cast shadows with my leds

Leslie, just to clarify - does the bracing run along the top AND bottom, and it is not necessary for a cross brace?
