Would you need braces or rims on a 1400 x 1000 x 750 live reef tank build?

12 mm starphire glass on all viewing panels

    20 mm standard glass base

    Thanks!!

you will deffinatley need braces with 12mm if you went with 15mm you MAY get away without having to use braces dependant on your tanks design and overflow box placement.

id lower the height if you do decide to go with 15mm to 650 or 600mm

Take it from me braces are always a good idea, now which braces is a different story depending on your look or need.

I.e. Euro bracing, bottom bracing, cross bracing

I have 33mm glass and it still has a bow (less than 0.5mm but its still bowing) water is a powerful thing.
