    Hi All,

Sorry to hassle. I picked up my Boyu 550 yesterdayand have started to unpack. I did not find the powerhead/wavemaker (unsure of name) that I have seen in all the other pics on the forum.

Is this an aftermarket accesorry or should it have been inluded as part of the kit?

    Please advise asap
    Mike

As far as i know the Boyu's do not come with any pumps for flow. You got to purchase your own.

    Welcome to MASA Mike!!

I've got one of those Boyu TL-550's. All that you should've received with the tank was a small Skimmer, a heater and a return pump that's at the bottom of the last chamber. Do yourself a favour and take all the ceramic rings and all the sponges out. This will create nitrate problems later on. Move your skimmer to the second chamber and put filter floss in chamber one just below the overflow. I put some eggcrate in there for the filter floss to lie on. You'll have to buy a wave maker seperately from your LFS. Good Luck!!
