This is for the guys, and galls with small Nano's. How much evaporation do you have during a week, thus how much liters do you top up with? I have been running my nano (15 galons) since Jan 2008. I have a mark to where I fill the tank every week during my 10 % water change.

A friend of min has a 12galon nano, and he tops up with 3 liters a week. My comment was where is the hole?

Not a nano but I lose roughly about 80 litres a week on my tank, evaporation tends to be a lot higher in winter, well in PMB at least.

If the tank is in a breezy area it will increase evaporation a lot. I find with the nano's/jebos/boyus/etc with the closed hood on you hardly get any evaporation.

Don't those boyu nanos come with a thermostatically controlled fan or something though? A fan would cause a lot of evaporation.

There are 2 PC fans in the hood. Both are extracting heat. I have heard if you switch the direction it blows on the water, thus more evaporation, thus runs cooler in summer. I have until spring to sort out the temp. It climbs to 30 C in the summer (too hot). I am thinking of replacing the magnetic basalt with an electric one.
