    Morning Guys

I purchased this 2 days ago and got it into my nano (24 g Nano Cube). It has since deteriorated to such an extent that there is virtually nothing left!

    Ph 8.3
    Kh 15dKh
    NO2 0mg/l
    NO3 100mg/l
    Temp 24c

Haven't checked PO4, Ca, Silicates etc yet!!!

What do you guys think the problem is???

Hi Pope - that looks like some type of Macro Algae?

Some macro algae's require very specific water qualities..... This does not look like your "run-of-the-mill" caulerpa or some of the other nuisance algaes.......

Now - with the bigger picture, it looks like a halimeda macro algae...

Did you purchase this? If so - very strange!

Very few people get these macro algaes to grow successfully...... I do know that they need quite high calcium, as well as magnesium levels - as well as EXTREMELY PRISTINE water conditions....

My invoice says caulerpa. So macro algae, yes.

I didn't know that the Ca & Mg levels needed to be high!

Anything else you guys know about this stuff

Hi Pope. Going over your water parameters again, you Alk is extremely high. Did you cross check with another test kit? Keep it in the range of 6.5-8.5 DKH.
And with suck a high Alk, please check what your Ca level is. Recommended range 380-420.
