Saw my girlfriends brother pico tank and i decided that i too want one.
went to a glass place and picked up all necessary glass. tank size it 30X24X30(H)
was supposed to be 30X30X30 but they got the messurments wrong. tank it already built just finished it and waiting for it to cure! i have a small internal canister filter with carbon and a type of filter medium, and going to get a clip on LED light for it and a heater. would i require a skimmer in order just to keep a shrimp and maybe a coral or two? ill post some pics later tonight. and is there any thing else i would need to buy?

Hi, no skimmer needed, but just a small water change weekly will be fine. What I would add to the filter is carbon and purigen then all should be great

Yes u can, and even use sea water. Just wash the sand in RO to remove all the bad stuff.

Don't add any fish , just a suggestion maybe keep 2 shrimp and a whole lot of soft corals.

You can paint your back with blue-black or royal blue.

As livestock, I think when your has finished cycle, u could also add 2 nemo fish with ur cleaner shrimp, that should work. Also as Dallsag said. weekly water change would be good.;)

You could add a yellow clown goby
