My kids gave it to me and it have not given me any problems but would like to know more about it. If I have I'd it correctly.

Any star fish with knobs on have mouths like mills.

Mill as in "grinding mill" " wood mill"

I don't know that particular one. But it does have knobs so it is most likely not reef safe.

The mouths of starfish are often referd to as the gastric mill. This means that they process and grind away at corals with devastation. I will check up for you on this particular starfish.
