Blennie ID Please

    Hi All,

    Can someone maybe ID this blennie for me? It was sold to me as a Leopard Blennie, but after some research, I found that it's definately not a Leopard Blennie.

    He is a very shy fellow so was very hard to take pics of him.

    I think that is a Cirripectes castaneus or common name Snowflake blenny

    Yes it seems you are spot on with Snowflake Blennie.

    It's an awesome fish. Quite a character. I first tried an algae blennie to help with my algae problem. Then, when he wasn't interested, I got this guys. Neither of them are interested in Bryopsis...lol.

    No, I removed the Algae blennie before adding this one. I know you can't keep them both especially in such a small tank. He gets along very well with the Yellow Clown Goby though. They even hunt together...haha.

    where did you get the snowflake, they are not common?
