    Anyone ever experience this?
I've noticed my kenia tree frag (from my main tree) slowly dwindling away. Yesterday i caught my urchin on it, munching away! My sinularia frag also went the same way.
First they shrink after being disturbed by my Urchin, then he gets on them, and moves off after a while. I've read on some other sites of ppl having this prob, just wanted to make sure before i take any further steps.
Would be a shame to get rid of my urchin as he did a great job keeping my rocks and glass algae-free, but for the past few months, i have no sign of any algae, and im guessing his getting hungry...

Sounds like time to donate the urchin to a system with lots of algae, its probably just hungry.

Yip I agree - give the benifit to another reefer with algae issues, the same I suggest would go for snails and hermits when you have an excessive amount of them. Give away before they starve.

Hi bra there is no place for a urchin in a reef,i now there is a lot of reefers that will not agree with me on this, but i had the same experiance,if they not fed every day and then also there is no promise they will not chow on your corals, its not worth taking a chance
