    Hi all

Just wanted to get ur opinions on running 2*12000 sun suns in a 130*70W*55 tank. Have a seio controller for them as well set to its minimum setting of changing sides every 15 seconds. Would this be ok? Tank will be sps dominated and BB. It would be ideal if it could be set like a vortech or tunze to pulse but going from side to side every 15 seconds?

    Your thoughts?

    SPS dominated.....It will work.
Take my system for example, it is SPS dominated, 1.2*800*600 and has 3*Tunze 6105 (13000lph each) and one Polario (22000lph).
    The SPS are smiling. :)

I've found the 12000Lph sunsuns to give a more gentle flow than the 5000Lph. The nozzle size on the 5000 is bigger yet the flow seems a lot stronger.

I've always found the sunsun pumps to be underrated. A seio 3000Lph pump doesn't even compare to the flow generated by the 3000lph sunsun. The 12000Lph sunsun pumps seems over rated though.

Those double headers really don't do much ito flow, my 10 000lph Seio out compete them. Then my Tunze 12000 lph beat them all hands down.

Also when they age, the caging will break and possibly the shaft when its time to clean them. But for the price u et what u pay for...if cost is an issue then go for it, but really would rather invest in Tunze or Vortech.
