So I am in a meeting, I get a call from my maid. Don't answer. Get another call, excuse my self from the meeting take the call:
"Sir the tank she is crying"
"Mirriam my darling why is the tank "Crying""
"I don't know the fish they going to swim on the floor"
"Mirriam - give me two minutes I'll call you back".

A mate of mine rents a house just down the road from me, call him ask him to pop over to my place to see whats going on. He calls me back:

"dude your tank is over flowing....."

I ask him to check if water is coming out the over flow line. He says very little. So I ask him to open the ball valve on the overflow line to FULL......

He's words on the phone: "O M F G - there is a swarm of Xmas beetles coming out of this pipe"....

What happened, some reason all the stupid idiotic beetles (always hated them) landed in the tank, went through the over flow, made a clump and blocked the pipe.

BEWARE of the Xmas beetles - they just as bad as zombies.

    Not cool dude! Any losses?

It's vital that everyone takes note of this, so it wont happen to others.

Go and check my tank build.
I have made a DIY solution to cut the return pump for scenarios like this...

    I hate those beetles.

But another thing to ponder, they love to eat up your roses. You might not, but your neighbour might spray them to save his roses. And thereafter they land in your tank... Not good.
