there is no specific right time but you should dose at least twice a day instead of dosing everything all at once. The best would be to use a doser and dose ever two hours. You want to keep things as stable as possible especially your alk

There are no rules, only guidelines. Biggest thing is to not dose alkalinity and calcium at the same time. Dose at least 30 mins apart, best is a few hours unless you use dosing pumps that does little bits throughout the day.

And as tremayn mentioned, try and do small dosages more often so that your parameters stay as stable as possible.

if you using ph buffer to lift ph dose just before light go on and not close to 60% of your light time i also dose cal and kh on different days so that they mix well with your reef and pls dose slowly not all at 1 time over a few hours

I agree with Marius. I would also add to dose it at the same times every day to avoid serious parameter fluctuations

I use Aquavitro and according to them, don't have to wait between CAL and ALK...

If you can figure out your daily consumption yes.

I agree with @irie ivan but there is some home work you should do:

    1. Do daily KH, Calcium and Mag test for two weeks. This will allow you to figure out what your consumption is. Once you know that

    2. You will then know how much you need to dose. Over or under dosing is dangerous and not dosing one of them correctly is dangerous. This is a three some all three need to be inline otherwise its like putting race fuel into a opel corser. Some thing is goign to explode ;)

    3. As for how often, the question isn't how often but rather how do you keep your levels stable (consistency in these params is the key). So if its X amount of KH, Y amount of MG and E amount of CAL every day, every two days or every three weeks its about consistency.

Figure out your usage over two weeks and then you will have an answer to how much and how often to dose :)

For KH and Ca..............Effectively, YES! Not daily, but rather continuouslty.... Think calcium reactor / kalkwasser top up / dosing pumps.....
Remember, stability is the key and fluctuations in these params are miniscule in nature. Not sure if growth is really a measure of health in corals, but I have found the fastest growth with stable params.

Regarding trace elements..... After all these years, Jury still out on whether they need to be dosed at all.....

The only dosing you need for trace elements is whats usually called in this industry, and is bottled in many different ways ---> A water change :)

Ca below 460 is definitely not low, unless it drops to below 360, no affect on coral health or growth rate. Then again...... How accurate is your test kit....... although not many will be out by 100ppm in one direction.......

Balanced & stable Ca and Alk more important than actual numbers, as long as alk above 7dkh.

Sounds more like alk being a possible issue, but without knowledge of the system, overall params, consistency of params and a whole lot else, shooting in the dark...
