I have a slight hair algae problem. Got a Foxface (6 weeks back), but not interested in the hair algae. Next option is a tang, but which one will be best for the job? Any suggestions?

Tangs & Surgeons tend to go for the short new 'grass' I mean algea:whistling:
The long GHA you gotta checklist all the problems and solutions off!!!
Start doing some research on this site lots off info!!!

I agree with brett , buying a fish to sort your algae problems out is not the amswer. Rather find the source and treat ...

One thing I've learnt over the years is to not count on animals to solve algae and marine tank problems. You need to solve what's causing the GHA like higher than normal phosphates and nitrates. Find out where these are getting into your tank and your can solve your problem. N and P are getting in your system somehow from either bad source water, overfeeding, poor filtration, poor skimming, an inadequate biological filter, high nutrients among many other possibilities.

yellow tangs, convict and sailfins, but try and source problem first. just now you sit with a bigger problem (a big fish such as a sailfin, not eating GHA and just adding to the bioload.)
