Sailifert, Elos, Tropic Marin are good.

I have heard a bit about Elos. Where are they from and does anyone have experience with them?

They're Italian. I've just used the nitrate test so far and I am happy.

I paid R300-00 for the nitrate test but it looks like you will get a lot of tests out of it. Large reagent bottles

I am using the Elos Ca and MG and I am firstly impressed with the kit and more importantly with how easy they are to use. Dont need to be a rocket scientist to use it like the Tropic Marin.

I do hear that Salifert are good too - and cheap - they from Holland.

It took me about ten tries to get the TM calcium test right. It's a real pain with all sorts of pipettes and reagents

I've read a few mixed reports on the international forums about the po4 Elos kit, some like it and some don't, bit of a difficult one, I was going to buy one but decided against it, mostly because I couldn't get hold of one:p. You can speak to the (owner??) of Elos over at the zeovit forums Elos S.r.l. - zeovit.com

I use Salifert test kits for everything except ph and phosphate.

    Thanks Dean

Myself and another member have both bought kits and found the result doesn't match the colour chart, the closest I could match it up to was 0, found this extremely dificult to believe since I have algae farm and 2 other kits show 0.5mg/L, one being a TM. 0 to 0.5 is a huge differance?
