Best method to apply hammertite to stand

    For all those that used hammerite would it be better if its painted on or spray painted on? Which would be the better longer lasting option?

    Hey Z long time no trouble..... While on this subject I have a friend that is rebuilding a Nissan 300ZX and wants to powder coat his rims - can I have some phone numbers where he can do this - preferably Durban or Jhb plz - Thanx guys

    Sorry I think I'm mixed up now ... is hammertite and powder coating 2 different things?

    Yip, Hammerite is a paint you can get from any hardware, I tried spaying & brushing...for me brushing worked best, gives a nice thick coat

    Powder coat is not that expensive. Paid R400 on a 1.5 by .75 stand.

    Hammerite advantage is that if you drill a hole or weld something else later on. You can just repaint that portion. With Powder Coat you must be sure your stand is what you want before they coat it.
