he Libra pumps can be easily swapped out with a JST connection without need to mess with the firmware that automatically recognizes them.

Libra dosers are designed and manufactured by Vertex in Austria and it shows.

The Libras have USB ports and Meanwell drivers for connecting to controllers. (Such as the amazing Vertex Cerebra, more on that soon.)

Vertex also has integrated stoichiometry management in the Libra line using UPC grade chemicals. I am not familiar with this technique but it sounds intriguing as you apparently don't have to figure out daily consumption rates. (More in link below)

2 different motor types are available for different applications and precision demands:

    • Reliable Japanese DC motor 7.2W@ 24VDC / 150 RPM- 1:8 Gear ratio

    Product Specifications:

    Input: 90-270 VAC I 50-60Hz
    Driver out-put: 24 VDC I lOOOmA

    Max. Consumption: 22W
    Max. Current: 920mA

    Ok guys.
I have two of these units and must say at this stage it is not much more than a run of the mill dosing pump.

The Stoichiometry System as advertised by Vertex is not included and I expect the release date of this to be the same as the Cerebra..... in like 15 years time or do we have better time frames on this?

Quintin, do you think it is worth the money?
I love Vertex, looks real cool, but compared to the other pumps?

If they release the Stoichiometry System software then yes as no other dosing pump does what this one claims to do on the demo.
But at this stage the software is still vapour ware....

The unit itself is well built with a few quirks but that has been sorted out by the very helpful staff, both here and the guys at Vertex.

I like the big touch screen display with graphs and stuff to show you what has been dosed over what period.

But the big selling point for me was the Stoichiometry System yet to be released....:whistling:

Ive seen these units in person and damn are they awesome compared to others..If i ever go the dosing method, i would go for these units.

One thing about vertex always amazes me. The pictures dont do them justice and I am in the process of changing.my whole filtration/sump to complete vertex kit.
and i must add that all vertex products are underpriced coupled with an awesome reefer who brings them in:thumbup:
    @Submariner

    and these are the FACTS!

    That is great news guys!

I'm a big fan of Vertex, just waiting on the Cerebra before changing my mind.
Sump equipment is a very big investment, but if the cerebra is all it say it will be then I will be converted :)

Are the slave units available yet? if not, when will they be available?
I want to get a libra doser but don't want to have to buy 2 main units for more pumps.
