however, i'd just like to find out about tank prices more or less.

how much should i pay for a
1.240l tank with the wooden finish
    2.450l tank with wooden finish

If the tanks you buying are second hand, have a look at the classifieds and see what similar sized tanks go for.

Otherwise get some quotes from the sponsors and compare.

    A warm welcome to masa!

As far as I know they normally go for R4000 plus for a 250L and R6000 plus for 450L...

Shakira, the best in my opinion when you start off is to go the second hand route, much cheaper. I have a 1,5 mtr x 600 x 600 for R 4000

welcome.. the tank you buy is something you have to be happy with for a long time so put quite a bit of thought into it with regard to flow (cls) etc.. glass thicknesses for something along those sozes (being 1.2 wide and .700 high0 would need to be from 12mm upwoard and properly braced.. all these things contribute to cost.. tell us more and we will definatley assist where we can is helping you design your system.

Welcome to the forum, as noted, check second hand as the prices depreciate considerably once they leave the shop (worse than cars I am afraid!!)

There is always the build route....

    Welcome to MASA Shaakira :)
I would suggest dropping one of our sponsors a request and get yourself a quote from them.
