Hi My tank has been running for bout 4 weeks now. I have 2 yellow tail demsels and they have been fine and looking very healthy. I would like to add a few more fish bt as I am new to marine, could anyone tell me which fish would be the best to introduce now.

    Welcome.

Not sure on the details of your system. But for me it is a matter on checking via google if the fish is reef safe. i.e. it must not eat my corals.

I also check for compatibility, for example you cannot add 5 different types of clown fish to a system, they are aggressive towards each other and can end up killing each other, so I wish I could add more but only have 2 common clowns.

My suggestion is get the name of the fish and google for research.

Bi-colour blennies are my fav fish, wish I could find one. So you can see that you might / will have to be patient if you want a specific fish.

Hope it helps, but google is king.

My first two fish I ever got was the Blue Cronus

They have survived the original move and a white spot pandemic. Which claimed a Sail-Fin Tang, a Pygmy Angel and my two Clowns :(

1st bit of advice Do not listen to anything amazon pets say about marine as they know nothing about marines, same for the shop at the mall.

2ndly i would recommend u setup a quarintine tank will really benefit u in future for all fish purchases.

3rd simple fish would be: damsels, chromis, firefish, clowns, zebrasoma species tangs but u need a 4ft min tank for them.

i am also in lenz gimme a shout if u wana get together sometime.

I would probably wait a few more weeks before adding additional livestock. A pair of clowns would probably be a nice addition when its ready. Always research each fish for its requirements and consider other tank mates. Quarantine is necessary.

    What are your nitrate levels?

    What size is the tank?

It would be good to hook up.

Bout it being way to early to even have fish, maybe rite but my demsels are doing just fine.
