Hi,
I though I would let everyone know that we have some of these high powered skimmers in stock.
The Reef Octopus BK-200 (200mm diameter) rated for 1200-liter tanks and the BK-250 (250 dia) rated for 2000 liters tanks.
The Beckett Nozzles require very strong feed pumps to really get the optimum performance from them. We recommend the OPT 5000 or HX-6550 or stronger pumps to be used.
Please PM for pricing or orders. Thanks

Could we have a photo of one of these skimmers Andrew? Was it the one with that very thick venturi airline that you had at IMACSA ?

Could you also give us some more info please, are they in sump or external? recirculating?

Calvin, Beckett refers to the air-injecting nozzle, see the device towards the top of the water inlet line in the picture I posted. There are some other brands of skimmers that also use the “Beckett style” of air injection. They are all refered to as “Beckett skimmers.” The 250’s are the largest we have at this time.
Dean they could sit in the sump but it’s made as an external skimmer. It is not a recirculating skimmer as It does not have a pump connected to the body to recalculate air and water. All it requires is a strong pump (not needle wheel) to force water through the Beckett nozzle via the inlet pipe. If the pump is strong enough you will get far more tiny bubbles in the skimmer that what a recirculating pump is able to achieve. Beckett style skimmers have been very popular overseas for quite some time now.

Thanks andrew . Please could you send me a price on the 250.along with the other prices i requested. Thanks

Yes I’m sure it can run externally, although it can sit in the sump if you like. I don’t have a personally photo of one running as I have not set one up. I’m sure there must be pics on the web somewhere.
Reaper I will measure in the morning and PM you a price with the size.

Nice !!!!!!!! - Awesome to see some choice !!!!!
