looks like they are cool for freshwater. Dont think you are going to get much PAR from 1w LED's

I had a look at these at Lifestyle and was a little bit worried that with 1W LED's they may be slightly underpowered for a mixed reef tank.

Let us know how they go as they are very well priced.

i have had them running for 6 hours now and my torch seams to really love it they also give out more light than the T5's the only down side is the they don't have wide focusing lens but other than that i am impressed

Looks good but I noticed that you have a clam on the gravel. Keep your eye on it as I would hate you to loose it due to not enough/wrong light.

    Hey @shaunnorth,

Im also running one of these, only the smaller version though...(LED 1300) So far no hassles with it, but then again I haven't really kept much of anything yet :)

Let me know how yours works out on your corals...last thing I wanna do is kill anything because of the wrong lighting...

Now that you have the Seneye, the Vertex LED and the Beamworks LEdhows about doing a PAR comparison between the units? :)

Haha, I agree that the Vertex will be a much better performer but it would be good to see some actual figures for a change :)

True! Amazing that this unit and the vertex are similarly priced. Was at TSR today and he said someone bought 2 units. Guess i know who it is now;)
