    Hi @Storm,
    Congratulations..... grandpa!!!

If you find out how to get them to survive in your reef, without isolating the pair (or even better, the male that is carrying the eggs), I would appreciate the advice. My Pajama Cardinals are spawing often. He carries the eggs in his mouth for about 20 days.

There are so many factors against you when they hatch in the reef. First of all, they hatch either just after lights out or early morning just before dawn. (that means you can sit with a torch and try and catch them in action.... :whistling:). Then they are so small, and are obviously a perfect snack for the rest of the reef.

Try and isolate the pair into a smaller holding tank. Then you'll have to get the adults out just after they hatch as they would also munch the babies.

Good luck, let me know how it turns out for you!!!

The young normally find refuge in a diadema. Feed with Cyclop eeze or plankton in the early stages then artemia.

The majority of my tank is covered with dense pulsing Xenia. They should provide decent cover for tiny fish.
