After a few years of being out the hobby I have what I consider my “dream” setup. Not as elaborate as some people want but something I’ve wanted since I started the hobby.

Next up some covers for the stand. Going to try Perspex with strip magnets

Very nice.....theres nothing as satisfying as setting up a new tank. So clean and neat
And oh boy.....did that old school arcade machine took me back to my youth. Stealing 50c coins from my parants so i can go and hang out at the corner cafe

Its a bean animal overflow. Lowest point is a syphon, second level sets your water level and third is an emergency. So 3 points of failure, its also very quiet.

Update…

Have been renovating new house and moved tank to temporary location while the renovations are being completed

Will be moving tank again in a week or two.

Have decided to go bare bottom, quite a process to get all the sand out while you have livestock

1 year and two moves later… I have had allot of casualties. From temp drops to salinity swings to alk swings, some my fault and others equipment failure.

Tank is starting to settle. Plan on stocking allot in next few months

Only new major addition would be the AI Hydra 32HD alongside the 2 Zetlight UFOs. I actually really like the spectrum the combination of lights provide.

Dosing a mixed approach at the moment.

Kalkwasser in my top off water, which I dose to the tank at night only, and then Aquaforest Component 123+ for any shortfall in alkalinity measurement
