hey guys,

just moved into my new place & these 2 tanks are just too big for me...

they're still brand spanking new & has just been upgraded by moolis & shawn @ pet stop!

i'm not trying to make any $ out of this, just trying to cover my cost so far.

so far both tanks cost me exactly R15,000 so i'm looking for R7,500 each ONCO.

here's the specs (i can get some more photos if needed):

TANK 1 Specs
  • L-shaped (580 l)
  • Nice for a room corner
  • See diagram for dimensions 650mm(H) (10mm glass)
  • Oak finish cabinet - now steel reinforced!
  • Standard lid height
  • Includes weir (black cover)
  • Drilled for sump - 50mm
  • Drilled for CLS (closed loop system) - 4x40mm holes in back!
  • Full C2C (coast to coast) overflow - back and one side!
  • Includes new sump, +/- 1300mm(L) x 400mm(W) x 300mm(H)!

  • 1700mm(L) x 500mm(W) x 650mm(H) (10mm glass)
  • Oak finish cabinet - now steel reinforced!
  • Extended lid height to accommodate Metal Halides!
  • Includes weir (black cover)
  • Drilled for sump - 50mm
  • Drilled for CLS (closed loop system) - 4x40mm holes in back!
  • Full C2C (coast to coast) overflow - back and one side!
  • Includes new sump, +/- 1700mm(L) x 300mm(W) x 300mm(H)!

nope, they're still brand new, i never got round to buying the equipment
 
yeah i still got them

as i said i'm not looking to make any $ out of them, they're still brand new & cost me R7500 each to get them in their current state

(i'm obviously willing to sell them seperately)

punk the sad thing in this trade is than you wont get more than 50% of what you pid for a product even if you have just stepped out the shop! i rkin you should be asking around R1800 -R2300 for each tank
 
as i said, they still new (never been used) & yeah that's my price, take it or leave it, good luck finding similar tanks @ that price new

I know these tanks have never had water in them, maybe the best thing to do is ask the LFS where you baught them to display them for you as they have the passing trade all the time and people can actually see the product.

Hey Punk - they are indeed awesome tanks, BUT, I know that 2nd hand tanks to not have much resale value (EVEN if they have not even had water in them yet)....
R4500 is not a bad price - BUT unfortunately I (and I am sure many other) reefers are currently worrying more about having constant electricity in our houses (ie. looking at gennies)...

Good luck with the selling of the tanks - perhaps someone will indeed want to upgrade soon....
 
yeah, unfortunately my place is just too small for these monsters (60sq total), so as soon as i can sell these i'm starting my nano...
