Yup it is a good book and has been out for many years (10+). However the bigger version i think has a revised edition. Hagen used to bring them in. It might be worth while asking your LFS on pricing.

    Amazon price $27.34
That is R203.47 for a 1000page book. Whithout shipping and taxes.

What do Exclusive books ask for it?

According to Amazon, it got about 1000 pages. Is that correct?

    Which are the better book?

Two Oceans: A Guide to the Marine Life of Southern Africa R257 at Exclusive

Dr. Burgess's Mini-Atlas of Marine Aquarium Fishes R304.95 at Exclusive

I need to give an idea for a present for myself to my wife.:)

Riaan including indexes etc ....1023 pages

regarding what is better, they are geared at 2 markets . Two oceans is my bible when i go snorkeling, diving or collecting as it it ID's local sealife.

The mini Atlas is intended solely for the aquarium trade with ID pics, care info etc on a LOT of species found in the trade

    Hope this answers you Q

Riaan - I have the Two Oceans one. I would DEFINITELY recommend it. As it contains a HUGE collection of Fish, Invertebrates, corals, macro algae, as well as "bigger" vertebrates and mammals....

I also saw the book from Dr. Burgess. Also a good one to have. BUT, I agree. Paying that much for a book that I might use once in a while - it's not in my interest.

I would rather spend that money on the tank itself.
