    Hi Guys,

Just an idea I have been thinking about, please let me know if this could be done. Im a bit scared of stray currents and the whole relay etc am not to clued up on.

Use a 12v bilge pump on a 12v float switch and power the whole setup with a ac/dc adapter direct connection.

    Will this work.

Should work, as long as the ac/dc adapter can supply enough current (amps), I would definitely still use a relay though as those float switches are so delicate and sensitive, they stick so easily.

Wire up a relay. it's really easy, there's diagrams here in the DIY forum, or just ask and the guys will show you the right way to wire it up.:)
