attaching softy frags

    hey everyone,i am getting a few frags from a friend:thumbup: some are unattached,i know you use putty for hard corals ,but what do i use for softies ie kenyan trees etc,is super glue ok?also heard elastic bands but how would this work for a kenyan tree etc

    for softies i use a tooth pick - just stick it through the base of the coral and use the rubber bands to secure the coral to the rock, i prefer plastic pics as they come looser easier after the coral has attached itself.

    I like Ed's idea, I was told that one can use a needle and thread yo attache to the LR - guess that works better if you got a moer of a rock and a small elastic :)

    Cable ties work well too, and yes they will work with Kenya tree frags...just ask Grant its how i gave him the Sinularia frag :)

    Otherwise I have also heard what MDN and Ed have said used so either way.

    I use super glue and it works, depending on the type of softy

    Super glue can burn the coral i heard????
    I would put in a no flow area of tank with cable tie mark did it to my sinularia and it worked perfectly!!!

    GSP, Leathers and zoanthids. Mushrooms, I use a needle and stitch them to a rock. My wife says im crazy

    ive used super glue on a whip gorgonia, it has a bony spine so i didnt have to get any glue on the flesh. it eventually grows over
