Are these reef safe

    Oops Franske - photo is a wee bit blurred...... can't you take another picture of the shelled animals? Are they snails? Or hermits?

    If it is a snail from Margate (You did say you were there) yes it is safe. I got a few of those guys in my tank.
    If it is a hermit that has hairy legs throw it back otherwise it will be fine.

    yip they are snails,thanks mekaeel,found them today in some rock pools,and do they do a proper job in your tank?

    Yeah they chow up Algea. But lay lots of eggs lol. Your tank will look as though it has white spots :p

    i found some snail down at margate once and they seem to kill all my snails.

    they "boor" a whole in the other snails shell snd then kill it, i don't know if it's the same snail...but it looks almost the same

    And mekaeel have you found any similar problems with these snails,do they chow allot of algea

    that small snail in that pic is the one that took down 5 snails
