Just a 4-5cm layer is plenty. The nice thing about aragonite is that it helps buffer your water, releases some caclium, magnesium and strontium. Just wash it a lot as it will turn your water milky if "dirty".

    Hi and welcome to MASA!!

Hope you enjoy your stay! 4-5 cm is fine for a sand bed. I personally only have a bed of 1-2cm in my DT. Only recently added...had to take out my old course coral. Good luck with your tank and some pictures would be great!!

Marjolien. A 7kg bag will be more than enough with some to spare. The Carib sea aragonite comes in different sized bags and colours from white, pink and even black

I would go for as fine as possible! looks like a nice white sea bed from the Caribean!! Also will not trap detritis as much as the courser stuff! Maybe a mixture of the 2 would be nice!
