reefers! Whos using Aquavitro FUEL and what do you think of it with?

Would be awesome if you guys post before and after pics. The stuff is pretty cheap and apparently a little goes a long way as the recommended dosage is too high

following with interest to see before and after pics. that is to say that if it is the only perameter change on a specific tank for the purpose of testing. ps i am not a sceptic. i dose fuel but i am always fiddling so cant pinpoint and attribute any specific changes to a specific supplement

I used it for two months didn't notice any difference to be honest. I am running zeovit not sure if that's something that effects it.

    what corals do you keep?

Im also running zeovit. I dont see why it shouldnt work with zeo though. Fuel is amino acids and vitamins so it should have a similar effect as KZ AAHC

Well to give my 5c...I used fuel for 6months...Thought my corals was doing awsum...But then i tried Red Sea Reef energy A & B...and geez corals look much better...My tank is LPS dominated but even my zoas and star polyps looks way better than b4....Even when i dose it my LPS goes into feeding mode...I would recomend this above all with my experience...And as the Guys from red sea said its more beneficial for SPS...
    Anyway just my 5c....

From what I have read FUEL is most beneficial for SPS. I know KZ have 2 amino acid products, one for LPS and the other AAHC which I guess is aimed at SPS. So perhaps its about the blend of amino acid or something, so perhaps FUEL is more for SPS and the red sea stuff is more broad based? if that makes sense..

Yeah I noticed my corals are not that much open as they used to be.
Have you thought of using the red sea a and b, as arries does? I've only read and heard good things about it, im going to swop over to that and the abc+ as soon as I run out of the others.

whats the price of the red sea stuff? Fuel is only R137 for a bottle and it should last quite a while

Before and after pics? As Mandarinman eluded, is it the only param which has changed? In fact, it does not alter any parameters, well at least not the ones which matter. Does it work, yes in short. Fatty acids for bacterial food in similar way to vodka and amino acids will be taken up by corals (all) and should lead to increased growth. That in itself is difficult to measure, as corals, especially sps grow exponentially.
Understand the science and you will understand why it should work. I dose it when I feel like it, but don't stare at the tank waiting for an effect to become noticeable post addition.

@irie ivan thanks man.. So if its a food source for bacteria, will it necessarily aid cyano? I just killed out cyano with KZ coral snow and zeobak. I know with KZ zeofood7 I dosed a half dosage and got instant cyano and thats what started my cyano problems..

This is what the description of Zeofood7 is from the KZ site

It does sound similar to FUEL. If it is basically the same thing then I do have a bottle of zeofood, would be pointless buying FUEL

With Mr. Pohl refusing to list ingredients, its hard to say whether its going to have the same effect. Any product which contain aa can lead to cyano, BUT I will not blame the product for the cyano. Food, whether pellet flake or frozen will also lead to cyano, yet it is an integral part of our systems. Its all about how u manage it.
Fuel does work very differently to food7 though, but same reults can be achieved with or without either or both.

@Tremayn let us know how it goes in your tank, I am running Zeo like you are and would most def want to know how it goes. I have a rigorous dosing schedule and am starting to get the final bits tweaked, not to fond of adding or mix and matching.
