    Hi Guys

I have been trying to get a somebody to quote me for building a custom tank without any luck, so, while I do not really have the time to build it myself I think I am without recourse :(

I have done the calcs and I know what thickness etc glass I need, picture:

The bottom is 12mm and the sides 10mm. I am going for a rimless design. The tank dimensions are 700 long, 550 wide and 550 deep at overflow.

You guys think this tank would be ok as a rimless one?

Then the next question, is there a specific type of glass or can I use the normal PG Glass stuff?

    Thank you!

Why do you have a sloping back for an overflow chamber?

I did not want the overflow to go all the way to the bottom, difficult to get your hands in there if needed. The diagonals supports the overflow. Saw this in some of the tank designs here and at other sites.

I would leave the diagonal glass. Makes life difficult. How do you plan on getting the pipes through the diagonal glass? Drill 3 big holes?

Its only the sides that has the diagonal bit extra, the portion below the overflow is open
