    Hi Guys,

I am currently trying to decide what to do for my tank's background. With a CTC overflow it needs to be inside the tank (or otherwise you will see the plumbing). The options appear to be ABS/Perspex or painting with black silicone?

    Any other ideas or comments?

Inside the tank? Can you use silicone to stick it to the glass?

    Can be inside or outside.

Inside you can glue it on with silicone. A bit of a problem on a running system.

Outside and you cut holes for the plumbing.

But to give a proper suggestion, please post a picture that clearly show the back side on your setup.

No pic yet as I am still in the planning stages. Am planning the slim overflow which utilises the entire back length of tank for overflow and return.

Also still wondering what to do regarding this. Also have plumbing visible. Was also thinking ABS on the outside in front of the plumbing, much easier to remove than the other options in case you want to later. Alternatively, I am not keen on cleaning the back panes and also thought that I might let it grow closed.

I have seen a tank with what looks like black glass as its back pane. Does anyone know where to buy black glass?

You can also just paint the glass black on the outside of the tank then it will look like black glass...
not so easy as abs to remove at a later stage though. but possible.
I painted mine and I am happy with the look so wont change it in the near future.

I can't paint mine because it will be inside the tank.
