Well Reefers I finally had a little time on my hands to post a new thread on a set of one of our Aquaria 3 meter Aquaria Aquariums. I have had a lot of emails asking me to do a new thread on our 3 meter Aquaria Aquariums but as a lot of you know I don't always have time as we are always busy setting up aquariums all over.

Anyway as always we faced a few challenges on this day of the setup.

1st challenge was the weather, it was really wet and rainy, this makes it difficult when you have to carry a massive 3 meter aquarium.
all wrapped to protect the cabinet from the rain and scratches.....

2nd challenge was we had to strip down the clients current 2 meter ,save all the water , keep the fish alive , keep the rock alive and use the old substrate with the new substrate. So yes time was of the essence.
    the old system..

well here is all the drums and salt ready for the setup
    [IMG]
time to strip the old aquarium down
    [IMG]
we use a really big team of guys on setups of this size , my team are really great as they all know what to do and help one another during the setup.[IMG]
all the fish had to be caught, all the water saved and everything kept alive.
[IMG] and then it was time to get the old out and the new in.....[IMG]
ok time for the tank to go in......

    Aquaria 3 meter setup

and so the setting up of the new aquarium begins...
cleaning time in side the new aquarium
    [IMG]
    connecting all the plumbing
    [IMG]
and while we in side putting the aquarium together my other team members are busy out side mixing the old substrate with the new[IMG]
and now we are ready for the substrate
    [IMG]
    setting the equiptment
    [IMG]
final checks on the pipe work
    [IMG]
and so the substrate goes in...
about 160 kg's of substrate [ Aquaria Cal-Side white and Aragonite mixed]

and now its time to aqua scape....
approximately 300 Kg's live rock [ old 2m live rock and cured rock mixed]
    and so the building begins...
happy staff enjoying his time in the 3 meter aquarium
    [IMG]
    adding some massive pieces
    [IMG]
    lots to work with.....
what is so nice is the amount of space we have in side our 3 meter aquariums
