    Hi
I have a aquamedic sl1000 skimmer but the pump stopped working. Anyone know if this can be fixed? Or what I could do with the skimmer?
    Thanks:)

Is the pump dead? Or is the impellor perhaps just jammed inside it?

I'm not entirely sure, but seems dead. Nothing happens when plugged in?

Can the impller move freely when you move it with your hand ? It will be stiff due to the magnetism of the pump

if the impellor can move freely and there is no movement when the pump is plugged in it may be the pump that is faulty, but i would remove the impellor and inspect it... they sometimes crack and swell due to corrosion..

if you could post a pic of the impellor we could offer further comment. but yes a new pump is approx R900 and an impellor in the region of R400...
