Eish Preshan - you too..... Good luck mate. I have been trying to get hold of this for a VERY long time. How many do you want? I know of someone who can import these (the pinwheels) and have them in SA in 2 weeks' time - then they only have to ship to you - Durbs)....

Let me know if you interested - then perhaps we can get the pricing down to order more than 2 (I need 2 - as both my pinwheel impellers on my AquaBee 2000/l's broke in half)......

Glynn - that's what I got from IM.... BUT - needle wheel is NOT = pinwheel....

I am going to replace my Aquabee pumps soon - if I do not get the correct replacement pinwheel impellers...

I am contemplating 2 x OTP3000 Orca pumps with pinwheel impellers...... (which will upgrade my skimmer from a 1500 litre rated, to a 2500 litre rated ;)

Hi Jacques I hate to burst your bubble but the aqua bee pumps actually pull more air then the otp 3000 pumps so in essence you will be downgrading your skimmer you would need to put on 2*bubble blaster 3000 pumps if you really want to make it better. plus the OTP 3000 are much bigger then the aquabee pumps and you would need to mount them at the base of your skimmer in order to make them work

Jaques, I agree with ziyaad, to really improve the performance you would have to change to bubble blaster. OTP will not improve the performance...unless you do all sorts of mods on the impeller

Sorry Ziyaad - but I wish I had the money...... Either I need to get the correct pinwheel impellers, or I have to change my pumps to pumps that I can afford.

I am talking about the Orca range of OTP pumps, with pinwheel impellers in any case. Not the old style "Reef Octopus DNW" style of OTP pumps (with pinwheels).

I am currently running my skimmer with only ONE of my AquaBee 2000/l's, with a needlewheel impeller only.... So - believe me - going to 2 x Orca OTP-3000 pinwheel pumps, will be a HUGE HUGE upgrade for me.

Jacques I have the Orca skimmer its the EXACT same pump as the DNW/TS range the only difference is the pinwheel and the venturi. with the pinwheel and venturi the difference is not that great over the aqua bee.

The aqua bee pumps pull about 800Lph of air
The OTP 3000 will pull about 600 - 650Lph of air.

But i totally understand where u coming from in terms of Cash and the Bubble blaster pumps are crazily priced here in sa.
