a suggestion, raise the light unit around 10cm to give you better light spread, or even 5cm

thanks The light unit is just temporarily borrowed till unit I'm getting arrives - which is gonna be an led unit (on tank tho) but will cover the whole spread nicely :)

thanks for the opinion on the scaping, once you do it you're never quite sure lol

the hardest part of reef keeping is scaping :) let it sink in so that you dont have to change it later....

look at the corals you like and see where best they fit etc... save lots of time and re-scaping later

After a longer look, if you wanted an alternate thought...

    You could:
    a) remove the circled rock completely, creating two independent islands
    b) keep the rock and lay it flat in a complimentary angle to the existing high rock.

    Result:
    a) gives you move negative space, good for fowlr type system or heavily populated reef
    b) Provides corals more surface area for placement higher up in the water column

Choice is yours. I do like it and remember the corals will ultimately be your scape, the rocks are merely the foundations.
