Hi. Is anyone here using the aqua forest products and what results have you seen from it. I have seen some pictures of bright colored corals which look amazing but the products seem so confusing to use. I am currently using the Red Sea products and have good results but I am thinking of trying the aqua forest range. Any advice or program schedule advice would be really helpful. Thanks

@Quality Marines SA will be able to help you.
What products are you using so they can give you correct equivalent.
I use AF but main the bacteria and phosminus. Waiting on the nitratephos minus.

Hi, @Dre - the products are really easy to use with no hassle and are super concentrated - about 85% of the products are 1 drop per 100L thus saves you money in the end as pricing is very competitive to other brands.

The products speak for its self from day one of use and you will see the difference within days.

Which area do you live in so i can refer you to a store for assistance.

    Thanks

firstly this is a brilliant product, very economical even for mizers like me.... :), ive seen it yield excellent results but two of the biggest problems is:

    1) not knowing your system and expecting a miracle
    2) the second is cross branding of product

Aquaforest is a system and should be used as such for optimal results.

Would be great if they could put together something similar to the Red Sea recipes - I am also keen to use AF, but despite lots of googling and youtubing still not sure on how all the products tie in together.

Only 2 products i would reccomend is the reefsalt and phos minus....mainly cause its cheap and works OKish. I have stopped using all of the other drops etc (as i didnt see any possitive results in my tank...in fact since i stopped i dont have any brown films on my glass anymore...so im happy i stopped.)

Please note: im not saying the products dont work...just didnt work for me...all tanks are different and one should find what works best for your tank.

P.S. I have also learnt over the years that one should take the "brightly colored coral pics" on the net with a pinch of salt....

If you go onto their Comp ABC as your using carx just remember there's no potassium loaded in the abc mix....not to be confused with comp 123(that does have potassium in it).

If its on the sand you seeing it it's normally a sign of too much bacteria being dosed - try backing off the Pro Bio S/ NP Pro a bit & see if it fades away

Okay yip probably nutrients then - i only really know for sps tank but the A + V are supposed to be dosed pretty lightly or not at all until nutrients are low else you end up fighting yourself adding in those 2, i only learnt that after i was done with the product, they don't really state that too loudly anywhere.

The basics you need with regards to Aquaforest is:
NP Pro, Pro bio S ( nutrient stability)
Ammino Build Energy Vitality ( coral supps similar to redsea A&B)
    Comp 1 2 3 ( CA, KH, MG & micro element stability)

Must admit Comp 1 2 3 is the best thing since sliced bread imo

    Hi Vleis

Yes - This is because of overdosing that you get the brown film - make sure your Carbon and phosphate minus is kept in check (Change every 4 weeks) as well as that you skimmer is skimming efficiently.

If you don't run a skimmer make sure to do a little bigger water change weekly.

Also i would dose every second day just to get your nutrients back in check.

    Thanks
