    Hi and welcome to MASA.

Could you elaborage your plan a little more?
    do you want to:
    a) turn your pool into a tank?
    b) make a tank in the pool that you can swim around?

    Very interesting idea.

The first problem that pops into my head is the vast amount of pressure. What material could be used to safely construct the tank (bear in mind the constant water motions in the pool from people swimming.

Another thing is you will have to make the tank extend a good 30cm above the top most waterlevel of the pool, to avoid splashes......

hi, its not impossible but lets go thru a quick list

    1. avg temp of the air
    2. avg temp of the ground
both will relate to geothermal cooling or heating

    3. what literage are you looking at?
    4. what livestock? fish mainly?
    5. what space do you have for a freshwater reservoir?
    6. as fun as it my sound, you will not just simply be able to swim in it... unless u have showered and washed yourself in vinager and RO.

    7. natural seawater or synthetic?

Just a question, do you want to swim inside or outside the tank?

If you got the CHING CHING go for it but just imagine the cost for the up keep & how massive your filtration will have to be never mind the skimmer size

It would be really cool to have like a cylinder tank in the middle or side of the pool so you can swim around it and view the fish as if you were scuba diving!

i have seen and helped with 2 of these in my time 1 was coral and the other a fish only system, the biggest prpblem we had was len a legevaan got into the pool and grabbed a few fish, but other than that its completley doable.
