Hi Martin - no - never heard of API test kits? Do you have a picture or a website URL?

I have tried them...Nitrate, Nitrite and KH. They seem to be accurate. No reason for me to question the results though!

    Hi,

I have used KH and PO4 and have no complaints as they appear to be pretty accurate

It seems that these test-kits are only found in Jo'burg/Pretoria?

Ok I have used them and I must say that the tests measured totaly diff from the other well know brands... One of the pets shops here was testing there water with it and they were getting 0 readings once we tested with two diff well known brands there readings were off the charts, so as for me I would stay away from them but thats just me

I get the feeling that I should stick to my Salifert kits then.

I dont have a website . I have seen a few references on Reef Central to API. I would not worry about the website as I am sure the sales pitch would make us buy a case. I saw them at a pet shop the other day - hence my question.

Thanks Phyrannus - I am not sure if I missed out on your thread or not. But I have never seen that brand of testing kit here in Cape Town?
