    Hi guys,

I've just started a fairly large DSB (roughly 150cm X 50cm) and would love to get some mature sand from an established DSB to get it going...

Is anyone out there able to kindly donate? I'll exchange it with fresh sand;)!
If the same person has a few pieces of LR they wanna sell, I'll grab that too, also in exchange for fresh sand:razz:, or cash!

    Thanks:thumbup:

Where are you based? You are welcome to come and get a cup or two. I'm in the Fourways area.

Thanks so much! I'm in Fourways, so that will be awesome! Maybe PM me your details and I'll call you to arrange a suitable time to pop by.

    Thanks again.

Thanks very much! Mariusmeyer also offered and he's in the same area, although Rumisig isn't too far from me so I might take you up on your offer since my DSB is pretty big;). Maybe at the weekend? If you don't mind PMing me your details I'll call you to arrange a time suitable to you.

    Much obliged!

@Tremayn: Hey buddy! Yeah, the tank is now finally coming along - I had it running for about 5 months with 'Saltwater Mollies' in it (stop laughing!) as I was working loads and wasn't willing to start marines properly and irresponsibly... But I have now moved and the 750 liter system is now up and running and ready for some damsels, so I'll start a proper thread [as the Moderators would prefer :p], hopefully this weekend!

There is a reason people refer to a damsel as the Devil fish

@mariusmeyer : Thanks very much for your help and advice. Very kind of you!
@Quintin : Thank you for the sand, and extra freebies! Really kind of you, and I can't wait to see the new tank when it's done!

Mods, you can close this thread now. Thank you.

    No probs.
Hope the bugs, feather dusters and stuff in the sand helps to get you going.
Frags should grow nicely, they are a metallic green when the polyps pop out.
If you need help with the moon lights give me a shout.

As I told you, the new new tank stand is not square so has to go for engineering to have it heated, placed in a jig and fixed.
But hey, suppose it is all part of the hobby.
If it was easy, it would be boring.....
