They go for around R40 bucks

Have no Idea what their rating or light frequency is....

Just starting a tank, nothing but freshwater and a pot to light up in the tank.

Light was placed in the centre of the tank....

If I put 10 of them on my 1.2, it will cost R400.

Then just add some actinic etc....

Have no idea what will grow under it. Was just thinking......

will be good for fish only and non photsynthetic corals only. Proper LED's besides being expensive need heat sinks in order to operate as they create much heat. thats an illuminating pad and not led's

Meneer, tytan has these led globes that you screw in a normal light fitting. Why dont you give that a try rather?

    Here is the site

In the cape they are available at China Town In Ottery and Century city, but this specific one is actually used as replacements for the roof light in cars, so I suggest you go try those places similar to Midas. Normally the places that sells car modding stuff (Amps, Speakers, Louvers, skirts, Neons etc...)has them.
You should also be able to get them from boating shops, as we use a lot of LED's on our boats because of the low power consumption.
