Anyone running a tank with black sand?

    Anyone running a tank with black sand? I wish I would have done mine with black sand. I bet it would look so Awesome! If you have pictures, please link. I bet a jet black sandbed with black background would be so kewl. If you've used black sand, can you advise which is the darkest black, and what problems have you had - if any.

    I think I've only seen one tank with black sand, can't remember who's it was though, could maybe have been @dallasg ?

    This is so strange:iagree:, i was looking at my nano last night and told myself to post this exact same thread today... i think it would look awesome to but i cant seem to find any pic's.

    It is me ;)!!!

    I have Caribsea Black arogonite(From Hawaii). It makes your Corals and fish stand out and look more colourful than they are!!!! However like driving a black car, any debris (Crush white coral) really stands out too that gives the tank a bit if a "Dirty" Look.

    I know mine has a lot on now but I just had to move 2 weeks ago so I will clean up shortly !

    I wish I'd done black! Next tank then.... Probably makes the dsb look better. Probably hides some of the biology going on in there.
