used to spend alot of time there when i started and also a few years back.....
great day out if the elements all come together. look close enough in the puddles and
expect snowflake eels, butterflies, coral banded shrimp, bumble bee shrimps, lionfish, zoo's, occasional brains if you look carefully, also moorish idols from time to time

@reefer101 what area are you from? I'd be keen to puddle hop if you looking for a tag along. I'm in the Westbrook area.

There seems to be some real nice softies and fish but you gotta catch it on the spring tides. I just don't have a clue how to remove the softies.... Still a noob

@459b can you explain if you don't mind? Really don't want to burn my fingers with this one or been seen as a poacher.

Its why common names need to be avoided.
Ghostpipefish belong to the Order Sygnathiformes, as do seahorses, pipefish, trumpet fish and a few others.
That order is made up of a few Families, ghostpipefish belonging to Family Solenostomus. Seahorses/pipefsh belong to the Family Syngnathidae.
Only Family Syngnathidae appears on the prohibited list (http://www.nda.agric.za/doadev/side...re/MARINE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY 2012-2013.pdf) -see annexure 5

@459b OK I've just cleared that up.
Ghost pipefish belong to the solenostomidae, while pipefish and sea horses the sygnathidae family
