i wouldnt use leds for a scrubber....too costly to get the lumens you need in a scrubber.

why not go for phillips t8 865's ?what size scrubber you aiming for?

those phillips t8 865's give around 90lm per watt and globes are dirt cheap(less than r20 bucks each) plus last very long...would put most t5 to shame even...plus they have a 6500k ratig perfect for photosyntesis in algae

Thanks bru looking at making it the length of a 39W T5 as i have a few ballasts with the waterproof endcaps already hence using the T5 tubes. Will look at using the 8800K and a 6400K light

What is the length of the t8 865 Falcon? I'm quite keen on reducing the amount I'm paying to replace energy savers.

Depends on the light itself im sure u get them in 10,20,30,40 and 50W not sure on the actual dimensions and yes its just like the normal FW tubes that can be run of the electronic ballast

well i use the 4ft(+-115cm) slightly shorter than the t5 4ft and its a 36w bulb that gives of 3250lumens.yes mudshark im using mine on electronic osram ballasts.

these bulbs are cool im surprised reefers havent really caught up with them yet:)

perfect for use as the daylight tube in your reef also!high par per watt and very very low costs good spectrum etc...

how can a globe that gives you less lumens per watt save on electricity compared to a t5 or t8 or mh with higher lumen output per watt?

lol dont believe the hype on LED'S boet only a few very very high priced ones give over 100lumens per watt.i know the cree's etc are all the hype since the solaris came out but they not really that efficient yet...led need a year or two of improvements to become viable bro.
